Legal Secretary Emily Waters has been employed as the Office Manager/ Legal Secretary for Daniel K. Whitehead, Attorney at Law since two-thousand twenty-one (2021). She has an Associate’s degree in Criminal Justice and a Bachelor’s in Psychology of Human Relations from Indiana Wesleyan University of Marion County, Indiana. Emily is passionate about helping individuals whose circumstances have led to criminal and/or family matters. She believes her life experiences have given her a strong ability to empathize with complicated situations.
Emily's message: "Apart from my profession, I am a mother which is my greatest accomplishment thus far! I have a personal relationship with Christ, lead worship at Bethel Community Church of Anderson, Indiana, and have been certified as a Stephen Minister of Stephen Ministries. Paralegal Christina Canada-Ritz has worked at the Law Office of Daniel K. Whitehead as a Legal Secretary since 2022. Prior to joining our team, she was a Legal Assistant at a large law firm in Oklahoma City for five (5) years gaining experience in various areas. She developed her passion for law through missionary work in Africa and entered Law School through the Center for Legal Studies, where she received her Paralegal Certificate.
When she is not performing her Paralegal duties, Christ has been blessed with a beautiful family and a homestead where raises chickens. She also leads worship at Pendleton Community Church of God every week and is continuously involved in African Missions mostly in Uganda.

IT Manager Randy Drennen has done technology consulting for Dan since he first started practicing law. He officially joined the firm in January 2017. An Air Force veteran, he brings to the practice a strong background in electronics/computers and computer programming. He configures and maintains our IT and data systems, and coordinates the implementation of technology in our office to improve efficiency. Randy also assists in various other ways to keep our office running smoothly.

Attorney Daniel Whitehead: Trial attorney Dan Whitehead is an Anderson Indiana native. He graduated from Highland High School, where he was a decorated athlete and student. In sports he distinguished himself in track and field by
becoming a national champion in 440 yard dash, and mile relay. He also lettered for 3 years on the varsity basketball team, playing for the #1 ranked team in the state.
Dan continued his education at Ball State University in Muncie Indiana, earning his bachelors and masters degrees. During this time, he had observed several persons well known to him receive questionable treatment under the judicial system. This helped mold his vocational ambitions, and encouraged him to enroll in law school at Indiana University-Indianapolis, where he earned his Juris Doctorate, while also studying in Europe. Attorney Whitehead has also completed over 800 additional hours of continuing Legal education credit over the past 25 years.
After law school, Dan felt a calling to return to the city of Anderson, to set up his law practice. He believed that this would be a good way to give back to the community where he was raised, by helping to ensure it's citizens receive fair treatment under the law. For the past 20 years, Dan has also been speaking out as a cancer survivor, after beating stage 4 cancer. He truly believes through faith, dedication and hard work, you can always overcome adversity.
Dan has also distinguished himself in the legal profession, being voted a Top 100 Trial Lawyer, by the National Trial Lawyer's Association, and has recently been nominated as a top 10 lawyer for customer satisfaction in Indiana. Attorney Whitehead is licensed to practice in the Supreme Court of the State of Indiana, United States District Court-Northern District, United States Court of Appeals-7th Circuit, and United States District Court-Southern District.
